I realise that you only get one chance in life, so I treat every day with positivity, happiness and cherish the time with the genuine people who are close to me.
Friends and family would probably say I am exceedingly calm, low maintenance and tactfully honest.
A good stable home life means a lot to me. I am just as happy cooking, cleaning, ironing as well as my love for gardening, car maintenance, decorating and DIY.
I have had a full career in the Royal Navy and now about to retire from a career in the Civil Service which has allowed me to visit all corners of the world. I have also travelled to places such as Vietnam, Cambodia and India since then. My travels have made me realise what a wonderful country I live in. I love the simple things in life, like sitting round an outdoor fire with good friends and family. I also enjoy exploring the UK in my VW camper van and going to small down to earth music festivals. I would dearly love someone of a similar mind to share these experiences with me.
I am more of a cat person than dogs, although I love both.
